Sticking with the acoustic sound that he is quickly becoming known for, Kermit the Frog tackled Johnny Cash’s Hurt, as covered by Nine Inch Nails. Said Mr. Frog, “This song has always had a special place in my heart. Back in the late seventies I was struggling with heroin addiction, often times waking up on Sesame Street with no idea how I got there. This song seemed like it was written from the script of my soul.”

When asked if his previous work was influenced by drugs, Kermit replied, “The album was called Rainbow Connection. Think about it.” Since his messy divorce from Miss Piggy in 1990, Kermit has been clean and sober.
